Meet Ms. Lena
Directing the program is Miss Lena, a licensed educator of Sing N Move LLC. Her expertise lies in music, movement, and making magical memories with families.
Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Lena grew up singing in choirs and playing piano, which led her to earn her degree in music. After moving to New York, she completed an additional degree in Early Childhood Education and spent over eight years as a lead teacher of a preschool. Now, as a mom of two, music is woven into her family’s daily life- from piano recitals to kitchen dance parties!
Ms. Lena's story...
"When I had my first daughter, I was struggling with postpartum depression. Being a first-time mom was hard- I was exhausted, anxious, and stuck in an endless cycle of sleepless nights and laundry piles. Then, a friend invited me to a Kindermusik class, and I instantly felt it was something special. Watching my daughter laugh, move, and connect with the music flipped a switch in me. Singing, dancing, and being around other moms filled me with so much joy. I later learned that singing can actually help with postpartum depression.
I loved it so much that when we moved from NY to PA, I decided to start my own program and bring that same joy to other families. That is how Sing N Move was born - a place where kids can be kids, parents can connect, and everyone leaves with a song in their heart (and probably stuck in their head)!
Both of my girls attended this program as students, and it is so rewarding to see how the arts have become such a big part of their lives. Now whenever their schedule allows, they love coming to help, and it feels like a full-circle moment a beautiful reminder of why I started this journey in the first place."
